Product description & Growing guide

Erica carnea 'Rubinteppich' (heather 'Rubinette') is a member of the Ericaceae family. This evergreen shrub exhibits a mat forming growth habit and is characterised by its evergreen foliage. It has a hardiness rating of hardy (very cold winter [-20 to -15ºc]) and is hardy throughout the UK and northern Europe, with many plants grown in containers becoming damaged unless given protection.

When fully mature, Erica carnea 'Rubinteppich' can reach an ultimate height of 0.1–0.5 m and a spread of 0.1–0.5 m. For optimal growth, it prefers an east–facing, north–facing, south–facing, or west–facing aspect and an exposed or sheltered position. It thrives best in chalk, clay, loam, or sand soil types and should be placed in full sun or partial shade.
