Digitalis purpurea 'Sutton's Apricot' (foxglove 'Sutton's Apricot') is a member of the Plantaginaceae family. This perennial exhibits a columnar upright growth habit and is characterised by its semi evergreen foliage. It has a hardiness rating of very hardy (colder than -20ºc) and is hardy in the severest European continental climates, including exposed upland locations in the UK. It features a flower fragrance.
When fully mature, Digitalis purpurea 'Sutton's Apricot' can reach an ultimate height of 1–1.5 metres and a spread of 0.1–0.5 metres. For optimal growth, it prefers an east–facing, north–facing, south–facing, or west–facing aspect and a sheltered position. It thrives best in chalk, clay, loam, or sand soil types and should be placed in full shade, full sun, or partial shade.
