Geranium macrorrhizum (big-root cranesbill) is a member of the Geraniaceae family. This perennial exhibits a matforming growth habit and is characterised by its semi evergreen foliage.
When fully mature, Geranium macrorrhizum can reach an ultimate height of 0.1–0.5 metres and a spread of 0.5–1 metres. For optimal growth, it prefers a north–facing, south–facing, west–facing, or east–facing aspect and an exposed or sheltered position. It thrives best in chalk, clay, loam, or sand soil types and should be placed in full shade, full sun, or partial shade.
