Epimedium x warleyense 'Orangekonigin' (barrenwort 'Orangekönigin') is a member of the Berberidaceae family. This perennial exhibits a bushy growth habit and is characterised by its evergreen foliage. It has a hardiness rating of hardy (very cold winter [-20 to -15ºc]) and is hardy throughout the UK and northern Europe, with many plants grown in containers becoming damaged unless given protection. It features a flower fragrance.

When fully mature, Epimedium x warleyense 'Orangekonigin' can reach an ultimate height of 0.1–0.5 metres and a spread of 0.5–1 metres. For optimal growth, it prefers an east–facing, north–facing, or west–facing aspect and a sheltered position. It thrives best in chalk, loam, or sand soil types and should be placed in full sun or partial shade.
