Product description & Growing guide

Gleditsia triacanthos 'Sunburst' (thornless honey locust 'Sunburst') is a member of the Fabaceae family. This tree exhibits a bushy growth habit and is characterised by its deciduous foliage. It has a hardiness rating of hardy (very cold winter [-20 to -15ºc]) and is hardy throughout the UK and northern Europe, with many plants grown in containers becoming damaged unless given protection.

When fully mature, Gleditsia triacanthos 'Sunburst' can reach an ultimate height of 8–12 metres and a spread of 4–8 metres. For optimal growth, it prefers an east–facing, north–facing, south–facing, or west–facing aspect and an exposed or sheltered position. It thrives best in chalk, clay, loam, or sand soil types and should be placed in full sun.
